Mainstream politicians and economists are finally beginning to recognize that exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) are a climate disaster and market failure. Now we have to make sure the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) acts on this belated understanding.
On December 16th the FERC will host its monthly commissioners meeting — the first with newly appointed Commissioner Willie Phillips. Beyond Extreme Energy (BXE) has a history of disrupting FERC meetings with in-person civil disobedience, call-ins, petitions, and Twitter storms.
After this month’s meeting, join Beyond Extreme Energy for an online event focusing on FERC and the fight against Liquified Natural Gas.
Hear from Tracy Carluccio of Delaware River Keeper on the Gibbstown LNG Export Facility and fighting LNG in PA. Get a report o the morning’s FERC meeting, the recent win against Jordan Cove in Oregon, and ways we can build the resistance to LNG.
