Help create a HUGE 10 foot-by-50 foot banner demanding Governor Brown walk his climate talk and take on oil and gas production in California. This banner will be a major presence at the September 8th Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice march in San Francisco. The banner will lead the contingent of the Brown’s Last Chance campaign.
Brown’s Last Chance is a statewide coalition of more than 750 community, environmental justice, faith-based, and climate organizations demanding that Jerry Brown step up and do what’s really needed to prevent catastrophic climate change:
1. Ensure the state of California grants no new permits for oil or gas drilling, fossil fuel infrastructure, or petrochemical projects, both onshore and offshore.
2. Set a global precedent by announcing a phase-out of oil and gas production with a fair and equitable transition that protects workers, communities, and economies, starting in places that are suffering most from the impacts of dirty fuel extraction and infrastructure.

No artistic experience is necessary to join this art build! If you can use a paint brush you can help. The banner creation and screen printing will be guided by a fantastic arts organizer. It’ll be a fun, artful and productive afternoon!
