The Environmental Justice Advisory Committee of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is holding a series of meetings throughout California on the plan to reduce GHGs to 40% of 1990 levels by 2030.
The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, (AB 32) requires CARB to consult:
- representatives from communities with the most significant exposure to air pollution
- minority and/or low-income communities
The Environmental Justice Advisory Committee (EJAC) represents these groups. Under AB 32, CARB developed a Scoping Plan for GHG reduction, which is updated periodically. It’s time for another update, so come and represent the need for strong, speedy action to start California’s just transition off of fossil fuels.
