Alameda County Supervisors will vote on setting up a community choice energy system (CCE) at their next meeting. Come to tell them to include a priority on local clean energy development, with good family-sustaining jobs, community benefits, and community participation . Alameda’s CCE system will replace PG&E as the primary provider of electricity in the county.
Specifically the supervisors will vote on:
* approving a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) agreement, which will set up a decision-making structure. Cities that want to participate in the CCE program will sign on to this agreement.
* accepting the recently-completed Community Choice Feasibility Study, and
* funding the next phases of establishing the Community Choice program.
