This is a chance to give the California Air Resources Board (CARB) your ideas about how to reduce the terrible health damage (and associated climate disruption) being caused by diesel fumes and other pollutants from large freight facilities. Diesel exhaust is a major source of greenhouse gases.
CARB is conducting a year-long process of developing “an indirect source rule to control pollution from large freight facilities including ports, railyards, warehouses, and distribution centers.”
To get public input, they’re holding workshops in Northern and Southern California. The Northern California workshop will be in Sacramento.
WHEN
Wed Sept 6, 1 – 3 PM
WHERE
California Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters,
Sierra Hearing Room
1001 I Street, Sacramento
The workshop will also be webcast.
