Contra Costa County’s Hazardous Materials Commission will hold a special joint meeting with the Industrial Safety Ordinance/Community Warning System Ad Hoc Committee of the Board of Supervisors to review several Refinery Safety Culture Assessment updates.

Please attend if you can.  This is a hugely important meeting about refinery safety.

On the agenda will be Process Safety Culture Presentations from Chevron Richmond Refinery, Phillips 66 Rodeo Refinery, and Martinez Refining Company, as well as a staff update on potential regulatory amendments to address gaps in regulatory oversight of bulk storage facilities, such as the NuStar facility in Selby.

This link contains the agenda and several attachments.

For more info, please contact Michael Kent, Hazardous Materials Ombudsman with the Contra Costa Health Services,  mkent@cchealth.org, (925) 313-6587.
