Artists: Submit your work to The Climate Gallery, a new virtual reality gallery that:
- Supports Artists: Commissions climate-engaged artists for their work
- Enables Action: Disperses micro-grants to climate organizations
- Engages Communities: Creates accessible, global platform to engage in meaningful climate conversations
Four artists’ work will be selected. The artists will receive a $1,000 stipend.
The project is also looking for volunteers and sponsors.
In addition to some in-person pop-ups throughout 2022, the first full exhibit will be this November 2022 and is simply titled, “Artivism.” After they purchase tickets, attendees will be able to experience the four connected art galleries, network with fellow attendees, and hear from one of the featured artists. After their attendance, they will receive access to the galleries in perpetuity.
The Climate Gallery is being created by the Climate Creative team, with the help of stipends from the California Arts Council.
