Tell the State Water Resources Control Board to restore and protect water quality in the Delta! The board is now updating a 20-year-old Water Quality Control Plan, which has allowed more than half the water that would naturally flow into the San Francisco-Sacramento Delta to be diverted away for unsustainable Big Agriculture in the west and south San Joaquin Valley. Because of this diversion, the water quality and ecology of the Delta have been seriously harmed.
Restore the Delta is leading a campaign to update the State Water Board’s water quality standards so they truly protect human communities and other species that depend on the Delta. Learn more about the Delta water quality issues here .
We need to insist that the State Water Resources Board gets it right and does not give in to Big Ag and other special interests calling for continued and increasing diversion of the water needed for the health of the Delta.
