California must lead the way to a safe, clean energy future. That’s why Break Free from Fossil Fuels is calling for a march in downtown Los Angeles to send strong messages to Mayor Eric Garcetti, the Los Angeles City Council and Governor Brown to boldly stand up to the fossil fuel industry.
California is the third largest oil-producing state in the U.S., and much of the oil production happens disproportionately in or around low-income communities of color. In Los Angeles, oil drilling, production, refining and storage takes place in urban neighborhoods without any protection for residents. But our elected officials have yet to take any meaningful action.
Get on the bus to join the March to Break Free from Fossil Fuels on May 14 in Los Angeles.
There are a number of buses already lined up from across the state, and more buses are being added. On this site you can buy a seat, look for ride shares, find out about transportation and parking in Los Angeles or RSVP to find out when more buses are added.
Stand arm in arm with the communities most affected by toxic oil and gas operations. To move CA, we must move LA!
