The Newsom administration is developing a “Roadmap to Just Transition” to a “just, clean economy.” Weigh in on what it should look like.
The Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and the Labor and Workforce Development Agency are charged with producing the roadmap by July 2021. And before they finalize policy, they’re supposed to consult the public about our concerns—with climate change, equity, jobs, and economic recovery.
They’ve published a ten-minute survey we can take. Please take some time to fill out that survey by June 3rd here.
Meanwhile you can read the governor’s executive order to create the Roadmap here. On the OPR website you can find background information, and more about the process and how you can participate, as well as a link to the UC Berkeley Labor Center report, Putting California on the High Road: A Jobs and Climate Action Plan for 2030.
