When water is being threatened, sacred sites are desecrated, rubber bullets, tasers, bean bags and pepper spray are fired, protectors are jailed and media communications jammed, with continuing violations of treaties and human rights, it is time we stand together in the BAY AREA in solidarity with the peoples of Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota, and against the Dakota Access Pipeline.
People are mobilizing around the world to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. Please join us as we stand with Standing Rock and call on the Army Corps of Engineers in San Francisco to stop the pipeline. We will demand that they revoke the permits to bore under the Missouri River and complete a full Environmental Impact Statement.
We’ll gather at 6:30 a.m at Civic Center BART for a Prayer Ceremony followed by a Mass Nonviolent Direct Action at the Army Corps of Engineers in San Francisco.
If you can join us in risking arrest taking nonviolent direct action, please attend an action training-orientation, if you haven’t already done so in the past, and please form or join an “affinity group” to participate with you. (A schedule of trainings is at the very end of the post.)
THIS IS AN INDIGENOUS-LED PRAYERFUL ACTION. ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ALLOWED.
Organized by Idle No More SF Bay, in coalition with Diablo Rising Tide and 350.org.

On Monday, November 14th, let’s flood their offices! Gather in community and hold letter-writing, emailing and calling parties to the Army Corps of Engineers, White House, Funders of DAPL, local representatives, and the Department of Justice. We need to support our protectors at Standing Rock —call to stop the violations by DAPL and militarized police to protectors, sacred sites, and indigeneous people.
NON-VIOLENT DIRECT ACTION TRAININGS
Please join us for one of the following nonviolent action trainings to prepare for the risk of arrest. Trainings will include strategies and tools used in nonviolent direct action, a legal briefing and overall plan for November 15th.
