Climate Health Now is a new local group of doctors working at the state and local level for climate action. To launch a new year of urgent climate activism, they’ll be holding a “skill-up” on January 11 to bring medical professionals up to speed on climate health advocacy. Their intention is to train people for state-level advocacy and to establish local hubs of physicians and nurses who can respond to local actions at city councils and local fossil fuel actions.
The Climate Change and Health Advocacy Skill-Up for Health Professionals will focus on three major areas:
- What is the current legislative landscape in California for climate policy?
- How can physicians and health professionals use patient stories to compel climate solutions?
- How can we build alliances among and between health groups to become more effective advocates about the climate crisis?
Come learn to use your trusted health voice to advocate for climate action at the state and local level.
