Want to save the #CleanCar standards? Come to the hearing in Fresno on September 24 to help save these important environmental regulations. There will be a free bus leaving the morning of the hearing from an East Bay BART station, and you can be on it! Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and a t-shirt will be provided.
The federal clean car standards were intended to save the average driver in America about $1,500 per year, keep 4 billion barrels of oil in the ground, and reduce carbon pollution by nearly 6 billion tons. That’s a lot of good accomplished in one rule, but the Trump administration recently released a revision that would flatline these standards.
Please take this crucial opportunity to tell the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) to keep the 2012 standards and scrap the proposed changes that line the pockets of Big Oil and auto companies. Let’s make sure the EPA and DOT know that rolling back this important consumer and environmental standard is absolutely unacceptable.
Would you like to help but are nervous about testifying? No problem: just attend this webinar on September 17. It’s not necessary to attend the webinar in order to testify, but it might help you draft your testimony.
