Seven cities across Contra Costa County are currently updating their General Plans and Climate Action Plans, which are are critical policy documents that set the direction for how municipalities address climate change and help create safe, resilient and equitable communities. There are plenty of ways to get involved.
Join this workshop to hear from Contra Costa County residents and grassroots organizations on the best ways to influence cities as they update and work to ensure equitable and environmentally-progressive General Plans. You’ll hear about lessons learned, receive clear information, and get suggested talking points to help build your climate advocacy toolkit. Plans and information will be shared for the next public action opportunity where you can put to work the lessons learned from this event.
This is an opportunity to gain skills and knowledge around how to truly make a climate-resilient Contra Costa.
