Save the date for a lively panel discussion! This Sunflower Alliance webinar will focus on water issues and the SF Bay-Delta. (Yes, when it comes to California politics, oil and water do mix.) What exactly is the Delta-Conveyance Project and why is it important that we get involved? Why do Indigenous and environmental groups contest the state’s claim that it will protect our infrastructure and water supply from “disruptions caused by sea level rise, climate change and seismic threats”?
Barbara Barrigan-Parrilla, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Restore the Delta, and Paul Seger, President of the Diablo Water District and head of the Delta Group Sierra Club, will provide background and prepare us for submitting comments on the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Review (DEIR) before the October 27th deadline.
