Enjoy ukulele music, hula performances, and a potluck dinner at this fundraiser for bond money for immigrants in detention.
The St. John’s Presbyterian Church second annual ukulele bond fundraiser will feature performances by;
Na Hoaloha, ukulele, singing, and singalong
Hālau Kaiāulu, hula dancing
In California today more than 6500 people are held in immigrant detention waiting for their ‘day in court.’ Many could be released if they could only pay their bonds,(which can be as little as a few hundred dollars to as much as $30k). Donations at this free event will help some of our neighbors return to their lives.
