Find out how you can help build the “rising for jobs and climate” that is already underway in Alameda County!
Our local community choice energy program, East Bay Community Energy recently adopted a Local Development Business Plan, committing to developing a new model of community choice energy that focuses on local generation of clean energy, building the local economy, and promoting economic and environmental justice.
Investments in local clean energy infrastructure (in contrast to dependence on the corporate market) can truly lead to 100% clean energy and benefit low-income people, people of color and all residential electricity ratepayers.
East Bay Community Energy is proposing to spend $2M the first year for “Early Actions for Local Development,” but has not yet selected specific projects to fund. The East Bay Clean Power Alliance has been researching the strongest projects to prioritize to benefit East Bay residents.
Join this discussion of benefits that could be achieved through East Bay Community Energy–Alameda’s Community Choice program:
-Community Shared Solar
-Community Investment Fund
-Energy Efficiency
-Community Net Energy Metering
-Plus other projects in the East Bay that will complement this local clean energy effort.
We will be meeting after elections (PLEASE VOTE Nov 6) and before the holiday.
