Join signatories of the Indigenous Women of the Americas Defending Mother Earth Treaty, Idle No More SF Bay, Stand.earth, our First Nations guests Cedar George-Parker and Charlene Aleck and many others for a prayer, prayer walk and teach-in at Phillips 66 in Rodeo, CA.
The Phillips 66 refinery in Rodeo wants to almost triple the amount of oil it brings in by tanker to its marine terminal. That would allow Phillips to massively expand the amount of oil brought to the Bay Area from the Canadian tar sands. Mining, refining, and burning tar sands oil creates huge amounts of greenhouse gases and toxic pollution, creating massive harm to First Nations and other land and communities in Canada and threatening to make pollution in the Bay Area even worse.
Phillips 66 is the largest exporter of crude oil from Canada.
Come and raise your voice to say NO fossil fuel expansion and YES to clean air, water, soil, and a safe, healthy world.
