The International Energy Agency released a critical report this week that said there is no need for investment in new fossil fuel supply in our net zero pathway. This huge and important shift has major implications for many of our campaigns. The Global Gas and Oil Network is pleased to invite you to a GGON Network roundtable to discuss the report and what it means.
GGON wants this to be more interactive than a webinar, so they have lined up some people involved in their campaign to kick off the discussion in a rapid fire manner before opening up for broader inputs. These provocateurs include David Tong (OCI), Greg Muttit (IISD), Paul Schreiber (Reclaim Finance), Cat Abreu (CAN-RAC). Tyey are also looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the call, but just listening is fine, too.
For some pre-reading, you might want to find out more about the report from the IEA Press Release, and some great blogs from allies at OCI, Ember, Energy monitor,Reclaim Finance, Banktrack, GSCC, and Shareaction.
