Are you committed to fighting climate change and air pollution and willing to get into the weeds to follow the work of the Bay Area Air Quality Management Network — and push them for stronger policies to protect the climate and frontline communities?
Sunflower Alliance needs a new liaison to the network of climate justice activists doing this work. Almost all of the activity takes place on weekdays, so being free then is important. Some scientific, technical, legal, or organizing background is helpful, but not required. Fellow activists will help bring you up to speed.
This is a chance to help win important climate and environmental justice victories. For example, our advocacy was key to the Air District’s recently passed rule that will cut deadly fine-particle (PM2.5) pollution from Bay Area oil refineries — the largest single source of fine particulate matter under the agency’s jurisdiction — by nearly 70%.
