The Path to Clean Air program of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District will hold a virtual town hall for residents of Richmond, North Richmond, San Pablo, Montalvin Manor, and Tara Hills to help shape a community-driven pollution reduction plan for West Contra Costa County.
In 2017 the legislature passed AB 617, mandating the development of “community focused programs . . . to more effectively reduce exposure to air pollution and preserve public health” starting with the most heavily polluted communities.
This town hall is part of the process of developing the plan for West Contra Costa. The plan is supposed to be “community driven.” This is a chance to speak up and help develop the plan.
