“What is Climate Justice?” Richmond’s Battle with Chevron (video)

Explosion at Richmond Chevron Refinery, 2012“What is Climate Justice?” illustrates the concept of climate justice through the story of Richmond’s political battle with Chevron in the aftermath of the 2012 refinery explosion. The 2-½ minute video mines locally-shot footage, the U.S. Chemical Safety Board animation, campaign ads and other media to spotlight the impact local organizing can have in a community’s struggle for environmental justice.
